How registration works

Registration takes two transactions with a short wait in between, so nobody can snatch your name while it is in flight.

    Search

    Pick a name of at least three characters and check that it is available.

    Commit

    Send a sealed commitment. It does not reveal the name, and it costs only gas.

  3. 3

    Wait a minute

    After sixty seconds the commitment is old enough to use. It stays valid for a day.

    Register

    Pay the rent for the period you chose. The name is yours and points at your wallet.
